Andrea Kennedy

Andrea is a highly experienced PR and media professional. After starting her career on regional newspapers, Andrea worked at the Belfast Telegraph as a business correspondent and news reporter and as a broadcast journalist at BBC Radio Ulster, covering many breaking news stories.
Before gaining experience in a local PR agency, working with clients including those in the aviation, motorsport and telecoms sectors, she worked in the press and PR Unit at Queen’s University Belfast.
At Queen’s she was responsible for promoting the university’s Management School and faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences. She advised academics at the university on how to best publicise their research to make national and international headlines and wrote speeches for senior staff.
Andrea handled media relations for major events at the university involving VIPs and international political figures. She has also worked in media relations at Belfast City Council.
Andrea holds a postgraduate diploma in Newspaper Journalism from Napier University in Edinburgh and in 2011 completed a Diploma in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations at Queen’s University Belfast.
